BILITRAMS IX

 We start this 9th edition of BILITRAMS with renewed energy and lots of projects for this new school year! 

We met for the first time this year on the 22nd of November, in CEIP Los Morales, where we celebrated our now traditional Thanksgiving tea in honour of our American language assistants (five of them attended the meeting). This edition also puts them at the centre of our learning process, as we are going to establish a protocol to receive them at school, issue them initial training, and have a material and resources repository they all can share.

We also decided to carry out a Carnival parade in February next year with classes from the five schools in the Romeral-Teatinos neighbourhood.

These are going to be very exciting experiences for us teachers, our students and our schools' communities in general.

May final meeting

In this last meeting, we have done a review and a self-evaluation of our work in this year-course and suggested proposals to implement in the next one.

We have so many exciting things on our to-do list, next year it's going to be amazing!

BILITRAMS celebrates Europe Day too!

Two of our schools, CEIP Tierno Galván & CEIP Los Morales have recorded this beautiful video in which our students talk about several of our European countries, as an end to the activities to celebrate Europe Day all through last week... Thanks to all the participants... You are the best! Enjoy! 😍

APRIL MEETING

 In this 5th meeting we have agreed on the activities we are going to carry out for this third and last term.

Two of our schools are rehearsing plays that they perform for the rest of us in June. We are also planning an activity for Europe Day in May and we have lots of ideas for next year!  

Thanks to CEIP Rectora Adelaida de la Calle for making us feel so welcome and giving us such a good afternoon snack. We are full of energy to end the school year in the best of the ways!

Meeting friends and find someone who: 6º Revello de Toro - Tierno Galván

 On the 28th April, two classes from CEIP Revello de Toro and CEIP Tierno Galván met to do a linguistic activity and practice their English. At the same time, they made new friends and had lots of fun!! Here you have some photos of the day...

 

 

St. Patrick's Day Gymkana

We had a ball last Friday, the 17th March, celebrating St. Patrick's Day at CEIP Salvador Allende.Children and teachers from three schools gather together that day to enjoy a specially created gymkana  (2ºA CEIP Tierno Galván, 2º A & B CEIP Salvador Allende and 1º A & B CEIP Los Morales). It had ten stations or games and we all formed the Irish flag with the colours of our T-shirts and a giant clover full with our best wishes! They did a treasure hunt with a treat at the end and they took bookmarks to remember the day. Thanks so much to AMPA Los Almendros and AMPA Averroes for collaborating and helping make such a great event! Here you have some photos!

2nd training session and March meeting

Dear all:

Our team had the 2nd training session on Thursday, the 9th of March. As we did last month, we met at CEIP Salvador Allende's library. This time nine teachers from the five schools came to the meeting. 

In this session, we practiced editing podcasts, using the podcast we created last month, and got familiar with editing with Audacity. We also had a great introduction to stop motion and learned a lot about how to create videos in class. 

Our trainer/teacher, Alejandro Burgos, even recorded one with all of us for our BILITRAMS blog!

Thanks again to CEIP Salvador Allende for supplying us with all the digital resources, and for the wonderful tea we enjoyed there! We also had time to coordinate for our St. Patrick's Day Gymkhana and do a check-up of the training. In the next session, in April, we will continue programming the activities for the third term. 3ª Reunión Bilitrams. Formación.

Hello, again! 

Our team had a training meeting last Thursday, the 9th of February. This time we met at CEIP Salvador Allende's beautiful library. We were a total of 10 teachers from the different schools and Salvador Allende's Head teacher.

The training was orientated to raise our competence in digital tools, especially about podcasts, using Audacity. We learnt about the different aspects of a school radio station, how to write and record scripts and use the Audacity programme to edit them. 

Our trainer/teacher, Alejandro Burgos, is a radio expert and gave us a very interesting and practical session in which we got a final product: an advert, a piece of news and an interview. 

Thanks to CEIP Salvador Allende for the great welcome and for the delicious tea we enjoyed there! We will have the second session next month. Can't wait! 

2º BILITRAMS Meeting

 Back from Christmas, we held our second meeting in CEIP Tierno Galván, on Wednesday, the 18th of January. 

This time we decided to change the next two meetings, to the 9th of February and the 9th of March respectedly, to have our digital training, which is going to improve our knowledge in making podcasts with Audacity audio editor and Stopmotion short films. We are very excited to learn about their endless possibilities in our classes!

Also, we agreed to pair according to same or similar year classes to meet for "Meeting friends" & "Find someone who..." activities; as well as preparing a "St. Patrick´s Day Gymkhana" for the little ones in primary in two of our schools. 

As always, we enjoyed a productive meeting in a very positive and motivational environment and finished it with a good dose of sugar!
