FIRST DIGITAL TRAINING SESSION AND APRIL MEETING

 

On the 2nd of April, Bilitrams’ members met at Salvador Allende school.  Teachers were at the school library for the first training session, Juan Antonio Pérez was in charge, like last year.  We also had a visit from a Portuguese teacher who is participating in Erasmus with Rectora Adelaida school.  He is job shadowing and he was interested in attending a Bilitrams’ meeting.

At the beginning of the session, our coordinator Aurora López, started with a presentation that she did last month for the Teacher Training Centre, related to our workgroup.  After this, Juan Antonio started to go over the web page we created last year.  The teachers decided what information we could include and how to make it easier to access the contents.

After that, he showed us to use “Create your own story” with Google slides.  It is, a kind of interactive story in which students can choose their own adventure.  We will practice using it in the next session.

We were also discussing about the inter-school activity to celebrate our X anniversary.   Finally, we decided that the younger kids will visit Los Morales school to participate in an Easter hunt, and the older students will do the orientation activity in the La Laguna de la Barrera Park.

To finish, we had a pleasant chat and tea time together. All the members were given a Saint Patrick bookmark, that is the main activity Salvador Allende celebrated, from the bilingual project.

It is always a pleasure to meet with other colleagues that have new and interesting ideas.

BILITRAMS' EASTER HUNT!!!

On Wednesday 5th of March, the Bilitrams Team had a work meeting at CEIP Rectora Adelaida de la Calle with different points according to the decision-making process.

There were some important aspects discussed.

a) Information about Bilitrams Micro-Network dissemination as a Working Group Follow-up Conference on 25th of March at the Teacher Training Centre in Malaga.

b) Decision regarding self-training; the schedule for two sessions on April 2nd and May 7th is focused on the use of digital tools with the activity titled 'Create your own story' (Google Slide).

c) Work distribution to create our Bilitrams' website.

d) Breakdown of the complementary and/or extracurricular bilingual outings itinerary taking into account the assessment provided by different members of the Bilitrams' Team.

5 years old - 'Face to Face' Theatre or English Day Shows by Tell & Show Company

1º- Planetarium 'The Magic Dome'

2º - Workshop on self-sufficient terrarium Ecodecs

3º - Visit and participate in a workshop at Picasso Museum

4º - Visit to the 'Caves of Nerja'

5º - Visit to the airport, 'Skygate', and/or Science Park

6º - Visit to the Torcal in Antequera and/or Gymkhana in the English Cemetery

e) Proposal of inter-school activities to celebrate our Tenth Anniversary: orientation activities in the Morlaco Park on the 29th and 30th of April, about an Easter topic and a shared breakfast.

f) Working Group Project dissemination, with a set of resources developed and good practices, at a Bilingualism Congress.

g) Moodle platform configuration at the same time as our Working Group development.

Finally, we enjoyed our traditional Tea Time with an 'Easter Hunt' theme: decorations, cakes, gifts (bookmarks) and an Easter Egg Hunt educational resource with Egg Hunt Clues.

Our meetings are a great opportunity to share our process of reflection and decision according to improve our teaching practice and, by extension, our students' English learning process as a foreign language.

We are cute TEAM that never ceases in this common purpose.

IT´S BILITRAMS' 10th ANNIVERSARY!

 Hi, everyone! BILITRAMS is back and this year we are celebrating our 10th anniversary as an inter-school team! 

Our first meeting took place in CEIP Los Morales, where we welcomed our new members and some of our language assistants. We also reviewed last years work and started planning our activities for this course.

This year we hope to complete our instruction in digital technologies; to finish our BILITRAMS web page and resource bank; to work out a bilingual extra-curricular activities itinerary for all pre-school and primary classes in our centres, and of course, to plan bilingual activities together with the other schools in the team, to celebrate our 10th anniversary!

We also agreed on the next dates and places for our meetings, and made a placemat each with all the information to exhibit in our BILITRAMS corners.
